wFoil 18 Albatross ZERO Prototype - The Flying Boat

The whole story was built on retro content, precisely at hydro-airplane from First World War and completed with modern details.

Today wouldn't be any wFoil18 Albatross without Tomaž Zore idea. He was thinking a little bit different and leave out the established trends of hydrofoil craft and developed a new concept of the installation and shape of hydro foils. wFoil concept is two times "V" dihedral shaped hydro foils setting which allows swept hydro foil design. Because of layout foils Tomaž Zore called concept wFoil concept on which is based the prototype wFoil18 Albatross. wFoil system is surface piercing system.

This is the first and the only such setting of hydro foils in the world. wFoil concept upgrades the capabilities of known hydro-foil vessels: vessels under sail or motor, which will use wFoil concept, require a lower speed to separate the hull of the vessel from the water surface. They will reach higher top speed - it's aim is to exceed the magical 60 knots - and be more agile and stable than any previously known hydro foil boat. In addition, it will be easy to maneuvering; ride will be safe and fast even on rough sea.

Men and women from wFoil Group - all working in their spare time and on a voluntary basis -- have many ideas and plans for the near future. One of them is to achieve the world record in speed sailing (WSSR) and the other is ZERO12. The ZERO12 is looking for 12 visionaries, mentors and partners who have unique possibility to invest in start of production and for return they will get one of the twelve upgraded prototypes wFoil 18 Albatross ZERO. In that way they will become the ambassadors of Albatross and wFoil boats. This would be unique marketing and privilege for the owners of the exclusive Albatross ZERO, because we will make only 12 boutique boats from series ZERO for the whole world.

wFoil Group wants to collect funds and experiences of investors- they will have possibility to active participate in design and manufacturing process of their Albatross ZERO. With collected funds they could start the production of 20 wFoil18 Albatross boats per year and continue with steady investing in researches so that they could develop new models of wFoil boats. wFoil 10 is already prepared.

wFoil concept gives us unbelievable potential, because we can use them in making of the civil, sport and rescue boats of all kinds and sizes. We can use that technical even with the military boats. Thanks to the technical design and modular structure the project wFoil has every chance to develop in the area of developing sailing boats, area of developing motor boats on fuel or electricity and aeronautical field or in area of wFoil plane and wFoil boat hybrid.
The wFoil 18 Albatross ZERO will be made from best materials from aeronautics, F1 race cars and other high tech fields and processed by hand to ensure, in every aspect, top quality of the final product. Lifelong experiences of engineers and craftsmen will be built into the wFoil 18 Albatross ZERO.

We improved the technologies with the help of which the Albatross ZERO will be made. We made extensive testing program and because of that we change many technical details regarding prototype wFoil 18 Albatross.
